Araris Biotech AG

Die Araris Biotech AG, ein Spin-off des Paul-Scherrer-Instituts (PSI) und der ETH Zürich, entwickelt neuartige  Antikörper-Wirkstoff Konjugate für gerichtete Krebs-Chemotherapien. Die Technologie von Araris erlaubt es, das Medikament stabil an den Antiköper zu binden. Das sorgt dafür, dass die oft sehr aggressiven Krebsmedikamente im Körper erst dort ihre Wirkung entfalten, wo sie tatsächlich hinsollen. Ziel von Araris ist es, damit die Behandlung von Krebs wirksamer und zugleich schonender für die Patientinnen und Patienten zu machen.

Araris Biotech AG, a spin-off company of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and ETH Zurich, is pioneering the development of a novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC-)linker technology for directed cancer chemotherapies. Araris' technology allows the drug to attach itself stably to the antibody. This ensures that the often very aggressive cancer drugs only exert their effect on the body where they are actually intended to go. The aim of Araris is to make cancer treatment more effective and at the same time gentler for patients.
